A loan of $925 helped to purchase and sow coffee plants.

Inocencio's story

Inocencio tells us that he started growing coffee at the age of 20, since back then it was the only way to get an income in the community where he lives. Currently there are other work opportunities, yet he keeps on doing what he does and likes best: producing excellent quality coffee. At first he grew conventional coffee, but in time he transitioned entirely into organic coffee, because it gets better prices in both the national and international markets. He takes his coffee to the Unión Regional de Huatusco for processing and exporting. He currently produces about 8 tons per harvest. He requests a loan in order to sow more plants and do cleaning work, and therefore maintain this level of production. Inocencio is pleased to see that all his children have already started their families, so his personal goal is to repair some small parts of his house so that he can provide his wife with all the comfort she deserves.
