A loan of $400 helped to buy fertilizer and insecticide.

Victoria's story

Victoria is 40-years-old and her spouse is Auron, 39. They have four children and the house they live in is theirs; they acquired it thanks to their daily efforts.

They have been working in agriculture for fifteen years. They have a parcel planted with coca leaf, cocoa beans and peanuts. During harvest season they need extra help so they hire day laborers to do the picking more quickly. What she likes best about her work is harvesting because that’s when the reward for long months of hard work is received. On the other hand, she considers the most difficult part having to transport her products from the field to her location where the best prices for her grains and coca leaf are offered. For later on, she’d like to buy new land to increase her crops.

This is her 3rd MFP loan and she feels very committed to make her payments as scheduled. She will use the requested 1000 new soles to buy fertilizer and insecticide to improve her crops and have better fruit.
