A loan of $400 helped to buy two sacks of rice and one of sugar to stock his store.

Vicente's story

Vicente, 45, is married to Olimpia, 46, with whom he’s shared many joys and efforts to buy their own house where they now live with their three beloved children. Vicente and his wife work selling foodstuffs in their store they set up five years ago at home. He likes his job because he’s always chatting with his neighbors. This is a very profitable activity so he always has income thanks to his customers because they always find what they need to prepare their meals. However, there are days when his most popular items, like rice and sugar, run out and this is why he counts on MFP’s support. This is his 16th MFP loan and once again he promises to be punctual with his payments like he’s been with previous loans. He’s a responsible member of his communal bank because he wants his fellow members to follow his example. He will use the requested 1000 new soles to buy two sacks of rice and one of sugar so that his store will have everything needed.
