Saio's story

This is 34-year-old Saio. He is married and has 1 child, aged 1 year. He has 1 additional dependent who lives with him to be fostered. In 2005, Saio established his business selling rice, biscuits, sweet milk, powdered milk, peak milk, sweets, cigarettes, batteries, and onions, etc. He began his business because he used to assist his elder brother in business after school hours and when he dropped out of school he fully joined in the business. When the business has grown, his brother gave him some amount of money to start peddling, which has now grown into a shop. Working 7 days a week and 11 hours a day, Saio earns about Le 5,375,000 every month from this business. He would like a loan in the amount of Le 6,000,000. Saio has already received and successfully repaid 1 loan, and now requires a new loan in order to buy rice (30 bags at Le132,000), peak milk (8 cartons at Le140,000), sardines (6 cartons at Le140,000). The balance Le80,000 will be used for transportation.. In the future, Saio plans to acquire another shop, educate his children to university level, and build a house.
