Alex is a 33-year-old married man living in Kagadi, Uganda. After realising the lucrative nature of the cattle business in the area, he decided to venture into it and in five years has been able to reap tangible benefits. Alex is also a farmer, and he earned start-up capital for the cattle trade from the sale of beans. Alex says that his business is usually at boom stage during the festive seasons in December, and he wants to buy cattle early to mitigate the risks of inflation and lack of supply.
Like all good fathers, Alex dreams of educating his children to attain a better future. Alex needs the loan to buy cattle to sell.
