Ceriss is a married mother of two. She is 31 years old and lives in Malaubang, Osamiz City, in the Philippines. Ceriss owns and operates a motorcycle transport business, which she established as a way of generating extra income of 9,600 Philippines pesos (PHP) per month. She has been engaged in this business for four years.
Ceriss has requested a loan of 30,000 PHP from GDMPC. She intends to use the money from the loan to purchase motorcycle spare parts and accessories. She has been a good member of GDMPC since 2010 and, in the future, wants to purchase more motorcycles to use in her business.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
