A loan of $775 helped to buy more wood to continue with her work.

Faustina's story

Faustina is 48 years old and married to Augusto, 51, with whom she has six children that she wants to offer a better quality of life. The house where they live is their own, as they were able to buy it thanks to their daily work. Faustina and her husband have been able to succeed through the sale of wood. This is a good business for them, as the people in their locality always require lumber for building their homes or for carpenter’s workshops. They have been doing this work for 5 years but, in the future, they want to have a workshop for making furniture and also to continue selling wood.

This is her fourth loan with MFP. She has been very punctual with her previous credits, and also hopes to do the same this time. She is well liked by the other members of her cooperative bank given her responsible nature and character. With this 2,000 Peruvian soles, plus money she has saved, she will be able to buy more wood to continue her work.
