Roberto se ha dedicado gran parte de su vida a la crianza de pollos, pues gracias a que su madre se dedicaba a esta actividad logró aprenderla desde muy temprana edad. Actualmente, tiene un galpón de pollos con el que genera los ingresos para su hogar y ha logrado brindar una buena calidad de vida a su esposa y sus 3 hijos, pero ha tenido una gran dificultad de capital generada principalmente por un accidente que tuvo hace unos meses que lo perjudicó de trabajar y tuvo que dejar su negocio por un largo tiempo. Ahora que busca recuperarse ha puesto un gran esfuerzo y ha logrado devolver a su negocio los clientes que tenía, y buscando responder a los grandes pedidos Roberto busca un préstamo para comprar pollos, el cuido necesario para su sostenimiento y realizarle mantenimiento al galpón.

Su sueño es poder tener nuevamente su negocio en marcha en buenas condiciones y volver a generar los ingresos que requiere en su hogar para poder sostener su familia y así salir de la difícil situación por la que están atravesando.

This loan is structured on Kiva as a bullet loan, which means a single payment is required at the end of the loan term. By Colombian law, Kiva's partner Interactuar is required to offer borrowers loans with a variable interest rate that fluctuates with the market rate. Because fixed monthly payments are applied first to interest and then to principal, Interactuar is unable to predict upfront what portion of each repayment would go towards the loan principal. This creates a challenge with Kiva's system, which doesn't allow for unpredictable principal payments, and can result in some Interactuar clients appearing falsely delinquent. To remedy this, the loan has an end-of-term repayment plan on Kiva, but the borrower will continue scheduled monthly repayments to Interactuar, who will then pass along the principal amount to Kiva lenders. This means that you may see repayments made on this loan throughout the repayment term, as opposed to receiving repayment in full at the end of the loan term.
