Alfreda's story

Alfreda is 40. She is a mother of nine children who is married and lives in Congo town. Her children are between the ages of 12 and 24, and are currently in school. Her husband is a businessman.

She has been involved in this business for the past five years. She sells coal, rice, palm oil, peppers, sardines and other items in her community. She learned to sell from her mother. She is proud of her business because she earns her own income and helps her husband with the family expenses.
