Kgotso's story

Kgotso is applying for a loan to support his studies at the Maharishi Institute. This is his story:

My name is Kgotso, I am 24 years old and I am from Munsieville in Mogale City. Where I come from is a township where very few people love school and want to achieve in life. Currently, I'm studying for a Bachelor of Business Administration at the Maharishi Institute.

I am the first in my family to go to university. My education at Maharishi Institute is my chance to make a difference to my family and act as an example for the young people in my community. Young people are facing many challenges now and after my mother passed away, I realise the importance of a role model. I am currently living with my guardians. They are responsible for eight people, only one of whom is working.

My hobbies are playing soccer, listening to the radio and reading books and newspapers. I would like to be involved in real estate when I graduate in 2014. My long-term goal is to work for or manage a big company, and to live a healthy life. I'd also like to have a big family, a house, and the car of my dreams.
