Edward is a 33-year-old married man living in Kagadi, Uganda.
After realising he could not depend on farming because of the seasonal nature of the business, he decided to venture into motorcycle transport and has been in the sector for three years. The business has challenges, such has accidents and mechanical breakdown, but with the profits he has been able to pay school fees for his children and also buy more land for farming.
He now wants to buy another motorcycle for business that he will hire; the rider is expected to remit 80% of the daily earnings. Edward is requesting a loan to buy a motorcycle.
This loan provides farmers and low-income entrepreneurs from underserved rural areas with access to financial services. By supporting this loan, you allow more farmers and rural entrepreneurs to access capital.
