A loan of $5,250 helped a member to complete her outstanding plot amount.

Mikoroshini Group's story

Grace is in her late 40s and is single with two children, of which one goes to school and another is adult.

She has been selling firewood and cosmetics for two years now. She works from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, and she is able to make a fair monthly profit.

This will be her third loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to pay back half price of her plot, which she wanted to use to build her own house. She has paid back all her loans successfully. She hopes for a loan to complete her outstanding plot amount.

Her dream is one day to be able to build her own house because renting is so expensive.

She will share this loan with her loan group "Mikoroshini," which totals 14 members who will hold one another accountable for paying back the loan.

In this group: Grace, Rose, Shida, Husna, Neema, Rajabu, Shufaa*, Aneth, Asma, Loy, Mwanaisha, Ester, John, Thomas
