A loan of $1,150 helped to buy sacks of potato seeds and several sacks of fertilizer.

Fredy's story

Fredy, 28, is single living with his parents who he cares for with much love. He’s been working in agriculture since the age of 19. He learned this activity from his parents. He states that despite the various economic difficulties found in agriculture, he likes working in the fields very much. His main activity is growing potatoes although he also grows peas.

He heads out to his fields almost every morning to care for his crops. He mentions that he has to water, fertilize and clear weeds all the time because if he doesn’t crop yields won’t be good. He plans for later on to buy his own farmland because for now he’s leasing three parcels. He will work very focused to obtain his goals and this is why he’s calling on MFP.

This is loan #11 and he’s very grateful to MFP for the opportunity of progress he’s getting and this is why he says that he will make his installment payments punctually. He belongs to the “Trabajemos Unidos” (Let’s Work Together) communal bank and he’s the treasurer; he feels much identified with the group.

Fredy will buy 10 bags of potato seeds and several bags of fertilizer. He will invest all of the money in this purchase.
