A loan of $400 helped to buy small materials like rolls of fabric and thread.

Marie Madeleine's story

Madeleine is a young 24-year-old woman who is married and the mother of 2 children, aged 3 and 7, who both go to school. She also supports one other person in addition to her children. She is a seamstress and has been working in a local district for 4 years. Her speed and creativity have enabled her to acquire a clientèle which has become loyal over time. The inadequacy of her capital makes her unable to satisfy her numerous customers any more. She is requesting a loan so that she can buy small materials like rolls of fabric and thread and increase her inventory of merchandise. The profits generated will enable her to expand her business, build some savings and support her husband with the daily chores.
