A loan of $425 helped to buy seats and tables, pork, green and ripe plantains, cheese, oil, beans, rice and charcoal..

Yeris Del Carmen's story

El Sauce is located 90km from the state of Leon. It's a pretty town surrounded by lush mountains and mighty rivers. It is known for beautiful women who are hardworking and entrepreneurial, like Yeris.

Yeris is 39, married and has a small business. She started her business 6 years ago selling "frittanga". Frittanga is a type of fast food only sold at night, like tacos, enchiladas, grilled meat, plantains with cheese, and plantain chips. Most people come for dinner. Her business is located in her home.

She is asking for a loan to buy seats and tables, pork, green and ripe plantains, cheese, oil, beans, rice and charcoal so that she can give her customers better service by pleasing their palates and meeting their demand.

She thanks Kiva and Ceprodel for the support. With these small loans many families of limited resources are able to improve their living conditions. Without it, they would not be able to achieve many of their dreams.
