Sennie's story

Sennie is 41 years old and lives in Jacobs Town. She has six children, aged 10 to 22, who are attending school.

For four years now, she has been selling peppers, rice, oil and other items. She started this business after she graduated from high school, and she graduate at the age 37 because her parent did not had the financial support to send her to school, she said that she grew up in the rural area and started school late. Her current challenge is to keep the business up and running while taking care of her children. What she likes about the business is making her own money to support her children and pay her own expenses.
