A loan of $975 helped a member to purchase fruits and vegetables.

Ndaane Doole Gawane Group's story

The Ndaane Doole Gawane Group is made up of five married women. The women each pursue their own business of selling fruits and vegetables. They contribute savings each week to UIMCEC in order to qualify for loans. This business earns them substantial income which enables them to stay on top of expenses for their families in general, and specifically to meet the needs of their children. The leader of the group (hand raised, in the middle of the group) is the mother of three children. She succeeds in meeting her own needs and taking care of the health and welfare of her children. In order to increase their business funds, the group is requesting a loan of 500000 francs CFA to purchase fruits and vegetables. Their goal is to turn the business into wholesale trade.
