Bermet's story

Bermet is 53 years old and a widow with 7 children. She has been active in animal and crop farming since 1996, having started her business with 3,000 KGS. Bermet currently has one dairy cow, one bull calf, and 3.0 hectares of irrigated bean and potato fields. Her monthly income from the farm is about 5,000 KGS a month. This income has allowed Bermet's children to start their own families. To develop her business further, Bermet has applied to Bai Bushum & Partners for a loan of 50,000 KGS, which she intends to spend on purchasing sheep for fattening and forage. Bermet plans to invest the income from the loan into expanding her business.
