A loan of $1,375 helped a member to purchase bottles and other instruments for the sale of milk.

Kuña Aty Group's story

The communal bank Kuña Aty has 11 members, all of whom are women from the same community. These women are humble and very responsible since many of their relatives depend on their incomes. These women's goal is to succeed personally and financially for the well-being of their families. They know they can reach this objective because they possess the willpower necessary to work together for a common goal. They are very appreciative of the "Fundación Paraguaya" (Paraguayan Foundation) for the opportunities they have given women to grow financially and personally.

One of the members, Gladys, sells fresh cow's milk everyday. This is a job which she must do very early, everyday as she must prepare the milk, bottle it and then go out to sell it. She has a dedicated clientele but competition is fierce therefore price and quality are fundamental. This loan would be used to purchase more bottles in order to expand her client base, and to improve the quality of her product.
