A loan of $1,275 helped a member to purchase vegetables such as lettuce, pumpkin, tomatoes, carrots, etc...

San Francisco Group's story

The communal bank is made up of 10 humble women with a passion for working with the Fundación Paraguaya (Paraguayan Foundation) through which they obtain loans. The members of the communal bank are very gracious for the opportunity the Fundacíon Paraguaya has given them to grow financially, especially for the rural women.

One of the members, María, is a traveling saleswoman selling vegetables such as lettuce, tomatoes, pumpkin, carrots, etc. In order to obtain her produce, María goes to the market very early so she can pick the best quality and best priced vegetables so she can later sell them to her regular clients.

The requested loan would allow her to purchase larger quantities of better quality vegetables so she can increase her revenues.
