A loan of $750 helped a member to buy dresses, pants, blouses, etc. for her clothing business.

Al-Sana Group's story

This group is called Al-Sana and it consists of four ladies who live in Aden, Yemen. Sana is 38 years old; she is a married woman who has two children (she is second from the left in the photo). She started her business on a small scale selling cloth two years ago. Over time, her income has increased and she is now able to cover the cost of her children's expenses. She has to expand her business activities so she requested a loan of 40,000 YER (her share of the group loan) to buy dresses, pants, blouses, etc. for resale. This would enable her to earn larger profits by catering to a large number of clients.

In this group: Sana, Samira, Sumia, Saeeda
