Hopewell's story

Hopewell is applying for a loan to support his studies for a year at the Maharishi Institute. This is his story:

My name is Hopewell, I'm 22 and I am studying for a Bachelor of Business Administration in Johannesburg. I am the first in my family to attend university. I live with my parents, my three siblings and my extended family; my mother took in her sister's children and raised them as her own. In my spare time I like to DJ, watch movies, play soccer and video games.

After graduation, I'd like to obtain an MBA and also a BSc degree in Biotechnology. Then, I hope to get a good job and take care of my family. I hope also to motivate young people about education and help them further their studies. Education is important to me because it teaches me about life and gives me knowledge. It is also important because it is a pathway to fulfilling the dreams of my future and life.
