Al-Sultan Group's story

This group is called Al-Sultan and is made up of four ladies who live in Sana`a, Yemen. Jamila is a 48-year-old livestock seller (she is the woman who is seated in the photo); she is married and has eight children. She has been selling livestock successfully for many years.

Jamila took out a loan of 50,000 YER (her share of the group loan) to finance her business. She plans to buy more sheep to resell to her customers. She will use the proceeds to buy more livestock and will use the rest of her income to invest back into her business. She hopes to have a successful business and a financially stable life.
