A loan of $1,100 helped to buy more flour, sugar, baking powders, butter, water and oil for his business.

George D.'s story

George is 31 years old and lives in Jacobs Town with his wife and two children, ages 5 and 7; both children are in school. He and his wife have been running a bakery shop, where they bake and sell sweet bread, tea bread and others kinds of bread.

He says that because of the business, they are able to send their children to school, feed them and pay their house rent. He says that they started this business by selling cold water and food (restaurant) in his community.

He is requesting a loan to buy more flour, sugar, baking powders, butter, water and oil for his business. His plans are to expand his business even more and, in the future, to see his children finish high school and attend college.
