A loan of $400 helped to buy thread to improve his weaving business.

José Domingo's story

Jose Domingo, 69, lives with his 20-year old daughter who studies in the university and also helps her father with household chores and his work.

Jose has his own business in which he has a loom where he makes rugs, tablecloths, sheets, curtains, and other products. A loom is a machine made of wood used for weaving which has been used in this country since indigenous times. It is considered traditional and therefore it gives his products a greater value because few people do this type of work.

Jose is requesting a loan from INTEGRAL to buy thread in different colors which is the primary material he uses in his work. In this way he will be able to make a greater number of products which he sells in different markets where they sell very well. He is a hardworking man that wants the best for his daughter.
