A loan of $500 helped to buy hardcore (crushed brick rubble) and bricks for the business.

Felix's story

Felix lives in the Malindi area of Coast Province, Kenya. He has 11 children; 10 of his children attend school. He owns a hardware shop where he sells building materials, a business that he has been operating for 22 years.

He learned about Milango through friends who invited him to the group, and he joined with the aim of accessing credit to improve his business operations. His main challenges are transport and fuel costs and high taxes.

Felix is applying for a loan of 41,900 Kenya shillings to buy hardcore (crushed brick rubble) and bricks for the business. His extra income from the loan will be added to his savings to pay school fees, meet basic needs and improve the living standards of his family. His dream is to expand the business.
