Nestor has been a rice farmer for 9 years now. He is 28 years old from the town of San Miguel, Bohol. Nestor is married and had an 8-year-old daughter. His wife also helps in the farm.
The previous harvest season was good to him, and so he is looking forward to a better income this time around. He applied for a loan to buy fertilizer, insecticides, healthy seedlings and pay for for those who will be helping in tilling the land. The additional income will go towards his family's daily consumption and savings for the future.
