A loan of $575 helped a member to buy supplies to make liquid soap.

Ele-Gbe Group's story

ELE-GBE is a group made up of three members who live in the same neighborhood in Benin. The group's representative, Pauline Ibukun (raising her hand in the photo), is 46 years old.

Although she no longer lives with her husband, Pauline Ibukun is the mother of two children, one of whom goes to school. Both children are her dependents. She lives alone with her children and covers the various expenses associated with raising them.

Pauline Ibukun left school at the secondary level. She now coordinates a non governmental organization in Benin.

She has been making and selling liquid soap for almost fifteen years now, buying her supplies in Benin. She has a passion for her work, which allows her to meet her needs and those of her children.

In order to satisfy her customers' needs, she is requesting her first loan, along with the members of the ELE-GBE group. This loan will allow them to better meet their customers' needs and to make more profits.
