Sara Maria's story

Sara, 48, lives with her husband and three children who are 26, 24 and 29 years old in the city of Ventanas, Los Ríos Province. She’s a member of the “Vencedores Unidos” (United Winners) communal bank located in Recinto Anchoveta on the way to Recinto La Templanza that belongs to Pueblo Viejo Canton. This communal bank is involved with agricultural activities related to short cycle corn and rice crops. Sara grows corn and rice. She buys and sells the products in Comercial Peña. She’s asking for the loan to buy seeds, supplies and fertilizer for the crops. Support from the loan will help her economically to meet her needs. The challenge she faces are crop infestations and diseases. Her dream is to buy more land to work better. In her free time she enjoys going out on excursions and spending more time at work.
