A loan of $525 helped a member to buy fertilizer for her farm.

Na's Group's story

Na, aged 63, lives in a rural area of the Prey Chhor district of Kampong Cham province, Cambodia. She is a married mother of three children. She and her husband have been farming rice for twenty-eight years. They supplement the family’s income by growing beans and sometimes working for others. Their business earns them about KHR 20,000 per day and they manage to save about KHR 10,000 each day.

This is the first loan for Na’s group with Kiva’s partner, VisionFund. Leading the group of three, Na, will use her portion to buy fertilizer for her farm and pay for labor costs. She hopes to increase her income from the current business so as to make a better living.
