A loan of $975 helped a member to buy vegetables and tubers in large quantities.

Jovenes Emprendedores Group's story

Greetings from Peru! This is the group known as “Jóvenes Emprendedores” (Young Entrepreneurs).

Maria is one of the members. She earns her living by selling vegetables. Maria previously had a stand at the market, but she was not able to earn much. One of her friends convinced her to try another method of working, so she was immediately excited about trying it. Now she buys vegetables directly from the fields in bulk and then sells them at different markets.

Her loan will be used to buy vegetables and tubers in large quantities so that she can get a better price. As a result, she will be able to serve more customers at the various markets.

Maria is 45 years old and has three children. Her greatest wish is to have a store in her house. She hopes to accomplish this very soon since she already has adequate space. Maria is grateful for this loan and is pleased that many people are interested in helping her make progress.

In the photo, Maria is the woman seated on the right wearing a black track suit. The girls in the photo are the daughters of some of the other members since they were present with their mothers at the time of the loan disbursement.

In this group: Casilda, Evelyn, Guiullianna, Carmen Luz, Maria Renne
