A loan of $1,500 helped to pay the Internet and telephone bills and to purchase snacks and soft drinks.

Angel Gustavo's story

The communal bank Tosagua meets every two weeks in the city of Tosagua, which is known to be a very dynamic place where most residents work farming and raising animals because it is an area with lots of vegetation.

That is where Ángel lives. He is 25 years old, single, and lives in his parents' home. He studies languages at the university. He has been with the communal bank for one year and he likes it because they provide him with support so that he can get ahead and stay in school.

He has a business in his parents' home, where he offers Internet services and telephone booths. He works there every day from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, which is when he has to go to university. He is always busy because he also does typing and computer jobs. He has had his business for three years and the income it provides allows him to stay in school.

He is going to use this loan to pay for Internet services and phone bills. He also intends to purchase certain snacks and soft drinks to sell at his business. He has been with the communal bank for five cycles and he enjoys the help the loans provide.

His goals are to keep going and finish school.
