A loan of $900 helped a member to buy gallons of palm oil to add to her current inventory.

We All Na One Group's story

Meet the members of the “We All Na One” group from Makeni, a city in northern Sierra Leone. They are all local entrepreneurs who have come to SMT, a partner of Kiva.org, to apply for a loan of SLL 3,900,000 for the entire group. With the help of this loan, they will be able to expand their businesses, make more sales, and consequently improve their living conditions.

Emma is the leader of this group. The 45-year-old is married to a businessman, and they have 5 children: 3 in primary school, and 2 in secondary school. Emma has been a businesswoman for many years now. She sells palm oil (the country's most popular cooking oil). With her share of this loan, she is going to buy gallons of palm oil to add to her current inventory.
