A loan of $500 helped to buy second-hand clothing, coolers and bowls for resale.

Monique Afiavi's story

Monique Afiavi is 45 years old and lives in Benin. She is married to a technician named Philippe, and the couple have three dependent children who all go to school. Monique Afiavi lives with her husband and children, and the couple handle the various household responsibilities together. To that end, Monique Afiavi started selling second-hand clothing door-to-door about 15 years ago. As a secondary activity, she also sells coolers and bowls. She buys her merchandise in a city of Benin, and in Nigeria.

To achieve customer satisfaction and to increase her sales and revenue, Monique Afiavi is seeking financial assistance from ALIDé for the fourth time. This credit will help her to bolster her activity and increase her profits. All three past loans were repaid without incident.
