A loan of $500 helped a member to buy and sell cloth and more.

Bokk Ligguey Group's story

The loan group Bokk Ligguey comprises five women who live in the same house. They live about 22 km from the principal city. They buy and sell cloth and a variety of other products that they can sell and that are likely to generate a profit.

The group is directed by Ms. Fatou, who has over five years of experience. She sells sugar, cloth, and incense. With the profits acquired, she covers day-to-day family expenses to improve the food situation. With a much more stable and substantial capital fund, she has the ambition of opening a store for fabrics purchased from Dubai.

In this group: Fatou, Ndèye Yarame, Yacine, Khady, Amy
