Honorine is 37 years old, married, and the mother of two children, aged 11 and 15, who go to school. She also has another person to support. She is a merchant and has a retail business where she has been selling fresh seasonal staple food (yams, couscous, tomatoes, vegetables) at a local market for three years. She would like to expand her business by buying on her own some goods from 'the bush' (bags of yams, sacks of couscous, crates of tomatoes, and vegetables). This will prevent inventory shortages that she has all the time.

This loan will enable her not only to satisfy her already-growing customer base but also to increase her profits, which will allow her in part to help out her spouse in supporting the family, save money for their children's education, and reinvest the rest into her business to expand it over time.
