A loan of $300 helped to purchase a sewing machine.

Mirna Elizabeth's story

Mirna lives in her mother's house with her children. She works in tailoring. She has a morning job tending a food stall in a school. She earns six dollars a day from that business, which she uses to provide for her family. Her tailoring work is occasional, since it depends on her customers' orders.

She is requesting a loan to purchase a new industrial sewing machine, which will allow her to perform better work and increase quality for her customers, who will receive a better service.

Her goal is to find alternatives from which she can obtain enough income for her children to go to school and, at the same time, to make a name for herself in dressmaking among new customers.
