A loan of $1,650 helped a member to purchase cloth and packs of PUR water to sell.

Afepeb Group's story

The group AFEPEB is composed of five persons who reside in the same district. This is the fourth time this group has requested financial aid from ALIDé to boost business. The group's representative, Rita Élisabeth Sessi, is the one in the photo with her hand raised. She dropped out of elementary school, and she is 55 years old and married to a retailer named Maxime. The couple have three children, all in school and in their care. Rita Élisabeth Sessi lives together with her children and husband. The couple share in covering the different household expenses.

To help with different family needs, Rita Élisabeth Sessi has been selling cloth and packs of water (PUR water) out of her house and via the distribution system for fifteen year. This business enables her to meet her needs without much problem. She gets her supplies from a market in Benin.

Seeking to satisfy her customers and to increase her sales and revenues, Rita Élisabeth Sessi is requesting, along with the other members of the group AFEPEB, a fourth loan from ALIDé. This loan will allow them to boost their level of business and grow their customer base and revenues. The previous loans received were indeed paid back.

In this group: Rita Élisabeth Sessi, Brigitte, Olladé Isabelle, Clémence Clémentine, Gwladys Olivia Afiavi
