A loan of $1,150 helped to purchase 'pagne' cloth to sell.

Abla's story

Abla is a 48-year-old widow living with her two children, aged 16 and 23, who are both in school. Since 1998, she has been selling 'pagnes' (the colorful cloth of western Africa) of different qualities on the front patio of her house. She employs one person currently helping her with her work.

Abla is requesting her third loan from WAGES to increase her inventory and her selection of 'pagne' cloth. She plans to use the profits she will make to start building a shop in her house. She hopes that developing her business will ensure her family's well-being.
