Sohoueto 1 Group's story

The group SOHOUETO 1 is composed of fifteen persons who reside in the same district. The group's representative, Félicienne, is the one in the photo with her hand raised. With the goal of boosting business in order to cope better with customer demands, this group is requesting financial support from ALIDé for a second time.

Félicienne did not attend school. She is 41 years old and married to a man named Christophe. The couple have three children, all in school and in their care. She and her husband live together with their children and jointly ensure that the diverse family expenses are covered.

To help with diverse family needs, Félicienne has been making soap (made from soda and palm oil) which she sells by delivery and by going door to door. Parallel to this business, she has been selling personal care products (toothpaste and toothbrushes) for about two years. She gets her supplies from a market in Benin and in her region.

With the goal of bolstering their business and satisfying their customers further, Félicienne and the other members of the group SOHOUETO 1 are requesting a second loan from ALIDé. Their ambition is to increase their level of business. The first loan was indeed paid back.

In this group: Félicienne, Victorine, Germaine, Véronique, Akou Véronique, Antoinette Lydie, Philomène, Florence, M. Marie, Odile, Emilie, Virginie Metowouin, Cathérine, Kai Reine, Sylvie
