Gulimkan's story

Gulimkan is 59 years old and a widow. To provide the primary source of income for her family, she has been involved in farming and animal husbandry for 16 years, having started this business with a sum of 3,000 som (KGS). Thanks to Gulimkan's hard work, today her business contains six dairy cows with offspring and one horse, and the monthly profit from the business amounts to about 6,000 som (KGS). She also works on 1.2 hectares of land, where she grows alfalfa and sainfoin, which serve as livestock feed. In order to further develop her business, Gulimkan requested a loan in the amount of 50,000 som (KGS) from the "Bai-Tushum and Partners" company to buy livestock for fattening up and resale. She plans to invest the earnings into a continued business development by increasing the land area, available for sowing.
