Ken's story

Ken is 55 years old. She is married and resides with five children in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia.

She has been involved in growing rice for more than twenty years, earning about $2 daily. Her husband is a teacher who earns about $3 per day. All of her children are employed; they are a teacher and garment workers. They earn about $15 per day.

Ken is requesting a loan of $1500 to purchase construction materials in order to build a new house. In addition, some of the money will be used to purchase fertilizer for cultivating rice. The money will help her provide better living condition for her family. In the future, she would like to run a poultry farm to generate more income to support the family.
