A loan of $400 helped to buy sacks of manure.

Brith's story

Brith, 26, is single and has an 8-year-old daughter. They live together in a house her parents passed down to her. She started selling farm supplies a year ago. She has a good number of customers already but on occasion her profits are insufficient to restock her business when she runs out of products. In general, her neighbors who are farmers are her main customers. Her store is open from 7am until 6pm. Her future plan is to expand the store in order to earn higher income and win over a larger number of customers.

This is her first MFP loan and she commits to make her installment payments punctually and as required. She states that she feels comfortable in her communal bank because everyone is mutually supportive. She will use the 1000 new soles to stock up on sacks of manure she needs for her business.
