A loan of $500 helped to purchase fertilizantes for his corn field, which is .16 acres.

Marío Roberto's story

Mario is 61 years old, married, and has two children. He started farming as a very young child, along with his parents and siblings. Due to his family's financial situation, he was not able to go to school, because he had to work a lot. He got married when he was twenty years old and started working on his own to support his family. In order to purchase farm supplies, he travels nearly two miles from his home. He pays for a vehicle to transport him and then carries the merchandise in a cart over half a mile to the place where he has his crops.

The loan he is requesting from Fundación Campo is to purchase fertilizer so that he can grow corn on .16 acres of land. He intends to increase production with this investment in order to improve his family's living standards. In the future he wants to expand his crops.
