A loan helped to buy supplies for her farming business.

Maura's story

Maura, 46, and her three children live in a house that she was able to buy after many years of work.
She has operated a farming business for 20 years. She owns her land and grows cacao. She hires day laborers who help her harvest her crop and sells what she produces to local companies that pay very well for the quantity and quality of her cacao. She puts all of her effort into her business so that she can support her children and pay their school fees. Her greatest hope, she says, is that they study for paid careers so that they can have a better life.

This is Maura's first MFP loan and she is grateful, she says, for your help. She also thanks her community bank for their confidence in her and says that she is committed to repaying the loan in the agreed-upon time.
Maura will use this 2,500 new soles loan to buy manure and other fertilizers for her next cacao crop.
