A loan of $200 helped buy a sack of natural manure to fertilize her plants.

Clarisa's story

Clarisa is 21 years old; her partner is Omar who is 23 years old. They live in the house that they bought together and live with their young daughter, Luana to whom they wish to give a better future.

Clarisa and her partner are good young people. To have their own parcel of land they had to work as day laborers for a long time and about 2 years ago they have owned their own hectare of land that is filled with cocoa crops; they have farmed for over 7 years. Their crops are taken to collecting associations who pay them very well for their cocoa beans. Their future plans are to have a small grocery store in their home to be close to their daughter without having to work too hard on the farmland.

This is Clarisa’s first loan through MFP and is committed to being punctual with her payments so that she can have access to another in the future. In her communal bank she is part of the managing board.

With the 500 nuevos soles, Clarisa will buy a sack of natural manure to fertilize her plants.
