Three members of the group are paying off their loans in August and are requesting to renew them. Their names are the following: Ana, 53, who is the mother of three children and runs a store where she sells food, sweets and basic staples and waits on her neighbors from 6 in the morning until 8 at night every day. She relies on her husband’s support and the loans she has obtained on other occasions have served to consolidate her business; Deyanira, 54 years old, who is the mother of one son and sells intimate clothing by catalog and finally Angela, 58 years old, who is the mother of six children, all adults, and who sells clothing, which she markets in the community of Chilamate in Poas. This is their fourth loan and they have demonstrated excellent conduct in their payments and their growth, personal as well as economic.

The group relies on assets to develop their business activities which they contributed jointly to demonstrate the solvency of Banco Mujer. They have established their business plan, and care for their homes as well as their businesses.

Apart from the economic help for their business, the communal bank has experience doing things to generate money and to grow. They commit themselves to working as a group in order to move this enterprise forward and to comply with the obligations agreed to with this loan.

The communal bank will support these businesses by seeking their consolidation and support other co-workers in maintaining their businesses. The communal bank has equipment and a customer base for the products that they are already selling. They are a united group, and they have complied with the requested loan terms for the formation of Banco Mujer with respect to the training process and by demonstrating commitment and punctuality in making their payments..

El grupo tiene trabaja con Fundación Mujer desde el 2009, son de la zona de Poas, integrado por 8 señoras, de estas 3 solicitan préstamo en esta oportunidad.

Son un grupo de mujeres emprendedoras con la idea de recibir el apoyo económico de Fundación Mujer y mejorar los ingresos de sus hogares, además consolidar su grupo y ofrecer apoyo en su comunidad para que otras mujeres puedan crecer social y económicamente.

Demuestran ser un grupo conocido y tienen experiencia en el trabajo en equipo y la solidaridad es parte importante de su trabajo. Manejan conceptos del trabajo en grupo y han desarrollado otras actividades complementarias para la generación de ingresos. Entre las actividades a desarrollar están las ventas de comidas y realización de rifas.

Tres integrantes del grupo cancelan su préstamo este mes de Agosto y realizan la solicitud para renovarlo, sus nombres son Ana de 53 años y madre de 3 hijos se dedica a atender una pulpería en la que vende comida, golosinas, y artículos de primera necesidad, atiende a sus vecinos desde las 6 de la mañana hasta las 8 de la noche todos los días, cuenta con el apoyo de su esposo y los préstamos obtenidos en otra oportunidad le han servido para consolidar su actividad. Deyanira de 54 años y madre de 1 hijo se dedica a la venta de ropa intima por catálogo y por último Ángela de 58 años madre de 6 hijos todos mayores de edad vende ropa que comercializa en la comunidad de Chilamate de Poas. Este es su cuarto préstamo y han demostrado una excelente conducta de pago y crecimiento tanto personal como económico.

El grupo cuenta con activos para desarrollar sus actividades, los cuales se tomaron en conjunto para demostrar la solvencia del Banco Mujer. Ellas han establecido su plan de trabajo atendiendo tanto al hogar como a su negocio.

Aparte del apoyo económico a sus actividades, tiene experiencia realizando actividades para generar dinero y crecer, se comprometen al trabajo en grupo para sacar adelante esta empresa y cumplir con las obligaciones adquiridas con este crédito.

Se va a apoyar estas actividades buscando su consolidación y apoyar a las otras compañeras a mantener su negocio. Se cuenta con equipos y una clientela para los productos que ya se están comercializando. Son un grupo unido y han cumplido con los requisitos solicitados para la formación del Banco Mujer en lo que respecta al proceso de capacitación, demostrando compromiso y puntualidad en sus pagos.

In Costa Rica, funding for microfinance institutions is hard to come by, and many institutions find themselves having difficulty growing and reaching all the demand for loans that exist. Kiva works with Fundacion Mujer because it attends a very marginalized population in Costa Rica, with a specific focus on women. In addition to the loan, Fundacion Mujer provides specialized training programs for their borrowers on everything from computer classes to salon training.
