Guadalupe, 31, is a single mother of three minor, dependent children. She lives and works in the rural community of Candelaria Mosoj Rancho located 64 kilometers from the city of Cochabamba. She’s been working in agriculture for 12 years and growing various types of potatoes is her source of income. She has a 1.9 hectare piece of farmland her parents passed down to her in the community of Tabla Mayu.

Guadalupe needs capital to buy farm supplies (organic manure) to expand her crops and increase production next growing cycle. Guadalupe comments that she will now plant a larger surface area thus insuring a food supply for her family and will improve her income to save money and send her children to school since their father abandoned them years ago.
