A loan of $1,375 helped to purchase more bagged rice to offer for sale and to renovate his shop.

Augustine's story

Augustine, age 40, has been involved in the sale of bagged rice for the past six years. He started this business by selling on a tabletop at the market with a little money that he received from his father. He lives in the Ganta area with his wife, who runs her own business, and their three children. The youngest is 6 years old and the eldest is 13. All three live at home and attend school.

Augustine's primary obstacle is that his shop needs essential renovations. He is requesting a loan in order to purchase more bagged rice to offer for sale and to renovate his shop.

His goal is to build a house for his family and to secure the education of his children.
