Miracle Group's story

This group is made up of 11 female members, ranging in age from 24 to 56 years old. The group has been working together for three years. Seven of the members are married with children, two are married without children, and one member is single with one child. The group sells fish, eggs, electrical appliances, provisions, clothing, yams, and plastic chairs. These items are displaced in the photograph. They all live in the same neighborhood so they know each other very well. This is their first loan cycle with Kiva partner ID-Ghana. They need a total amount of 3,250 GHS to improve their business.

Naomi is a 40-year-old married woman with 4 children and lives with her family in Teshie. She works as part of the group and sells yams and provisions. She has been doing this job for two years with a monthly profit of 90 GHS. She uses part of her earnings for family expenses and the remaining part for reinvestment. Naomi will use her portion of the loan to buy more yams and provisions from the market to supply the customers in Teshie.
